Valentine’s Day Event: How We Got 5,274 Reach on ₹199 When Organic Wasn’t Enough

We reached 5,274 people for ₹199 during Valentine's Day. The client wanted organic reach, but the platform was dormant. When organic isn't cutting it, sometimes a small, strategic push is all it takes.

For hospitality brands, every event is a chance to fill seats. Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest. The challenge? Limited budgets and dying organic reach on social platforms. This case study is a reminder that budgets rarely matter. Timing and targeting do.

The context

Our client runs a resort with a signature Valentine’s Day event. Special menu, decorated venue, the works. Couples travel specifically for this dinner. But getting the word out was the problem.

The client didn’t have budget for a big campaign. They wanted organic reach first. After weeks of organic posts, the reach was minimal. The platform was quiet. They needed visibility fast, and they needed it in the three days leading up to Valentine’s Day.

The challenge

Two constraints shaped everything:

First, the budget was small. Really small. ₹199. That’s roughly $2.40 USD. No room for error, no budget for testing. Every rupee had to work.

Second, the audience was specific. Not everyone. Couples looking for a Valentine’s dinner experience. The targeting had to be precise or the spend would evaporate on irrelevant impressions.

The approach

We built a single Instagram campaign around one insight: couples are looking for Valentine’s experiences right now. We targeted by interest, location, and behaviour. The creative was simple. Event details, venue aesthetic, and a clear call to action.

The timing was non-negotiable. The campaign ran three days before the event (Feb 12-14). Not two weeks out. Not a month. Three days. Urgency drives decision-making.

We leaned on Instagram because that’s where couples plan experiences. We set a daily budget and let it run.

The results

MetricResult
Total Spend₹199
Reach5,274 people
Impressions8,219
Profile Visits57
Cost per Result₹3.50
Campaign Duration3 days (Feb 12-14)

57 people visited the resort’s profile from this campaign. That’s the signal that mattered. Profile visits mean interest. Real interest. Not just passive scrolling.

The cost per profile visit was ₹3.50. That’s efficiency through timing and targeting, not budget.

The lesson

The myth: you need a big budget to reach people. The truth: you need the right audience at the right moment.

Organic reach is dead for most hospitality brands. But that doesn’t mean you need a ₹50,000 ad spend. It means you need to be strategic about when you spend. Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, holidays, seasonal events. These windows are short. Urgency is real. Couples aren’t browsing Valentine’s experiences in June. They’re looking three days before.

When you target the right audience during a moment they’re actually seeking what you offer, even ₹199 works.

This campaign worked because the client understood one thing: organic alone wasn’t enough. A small, smart paid push was all it took.
